SAFE Alliance Donation Drive

We Give Back

In May of 2019, our Xtreme team coordinated a donation drive for one of our clients, and an exceptional organization, the SAFE Alliance. The SAFE Alliance is a merger of Austin Children’s Shelter and SafePlace, both long-standing and respected human service agencies in Austin serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence.

Families staying at the shelters come with few possessions and require materials to create a home upon leaving. We focused our drive on home goods such as bedding, kitchen ware, bathroom essentials and more. Awareness of this drive and the SAFE Alliance was spread out to our team, our community and to other local businesses. Together we were able to make a sizeable donation and make a small difference in the lives of people who needed help.

Ronald McDonald House Charities – Breakfast

A few members of our team volunteered as meal providers in March at the Austin RMCH next to the Dell Children’s Hospital. We were glad to provide the families staying there some comfort and to help give back to the medical community in Austin, of which we are a partner. We made a nutritious, delicious spread of eggs, bacon, French toast and fruit in their kitchen. On our visit we were also given a tour of the facility and information on ways we can volunteer and provide support in the future. Health Alliance for Austin Musicians

Health Alliance for Austin Musicians

We provide access to affordable healthcare for Austin’s low-income, working musicians, with a focus on prevention and wellness. Many Austin musicians are self-employed and have no access to health insurance or basic healthcare. They often work multiple jobs and struggle to pay for food, clothing and shelter, with nothing left for healthcare.

That’s where we come in. By resolving challenges such as long-neglected dental work to hearing loss, heart problems and depression, HAAM and our partners improve and save musicians’ lives and enhance Austin’s economy and quality of life. Austin is the "Live Music Capital of the World," and we aim to keep it that way.

We have helped over 5,600 musicians access over $98 million dollars in healthcare value since we began in 2005. These include routine dental work, doctor visits and prescriptions, psychiatric counseling sessions, eye exams, out-patient procedures, specialist referrals, hearing screenings and more.
